Impressions are counted when the ad renders on the page or in the case of video, when the VAST impression event is fired. This enables publishers to request multiple ads which can be displayed to the user when the publisher chooses.
Logging of impressions for reporting purposes is made with the date and time that the ads were displayed to the user, not at the point that ad requests were made to the platform.
